Fall is now here. As we slowly turn up the heat in our houses, as we put
on a few more layers of clothes, and as we let the sun slowly fade out more and more each day may we realize with each brisk shiver that we are the Lord’s. We belong to Him, and as we see Him turn one season into another, may it remind us that the Lord is helping us to turn from season of conversion and life into an- other IN HIM.
In light of this blessing from our Creator, we at the Parish want to invite all of you to bring in your pets to the Lord of creation bless them today. At 2:00 p.m. in the north parking lot we will pray over and bless all animals, TODAY, Sun- day at 2PM. We encourage you to bring your four-legged friends to receive a blessing, you may even want to bring friends who do not belong to the parish or are not even Catholic to come today at 2:00 p.m. so that their pets too might re- ceive God the creator’s blessing.
I also want to remind you of the evening of prayer in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary on Sunday, October 8th at 7:00 p.m. Not only will we pray the Rosary with song and prayer but we will have five parishioners preach on a par- ticular mystery of the Rosary, reflecting on how we can live up to our call to be- come missionary disciples in the world. We hope to see everyone there to pray, be transformed in our call of discipleship and to support your fellow parishioners and their preaching!
Finally, Oktoberfest is less than two weeks away (OCT 14th 2-p.m.). We are still in need of various volunteers throughout the day. Please see our website (stdominicdenver.org/oktoberfest) and click on the volunteer link to see where you might help out the day before (set-up) or during the event itself. Also, if you have any silent auction items to donate, the time to drop them off at the parish office is now. If you have something you would like to donate please bring them to the office ASAP.
God bless you all this fall season. -Father Wes, OP
