Over 450 children from both parishes participate in weekly religious education throughout the school year. The success of this large program is due to the generous help of multiple adults and confirmed high school teens who teach the children’s classes.
It is during the regular religious education schedule that children prepare for the sacraments of First Holy Communion and First Reconciliation. Confirmation classes for both parishes are combined and held at St. Mary of the Crown church in Carbondale.
Adult religious education programming includes periodic speakers, bible studies, and small faith sharing groups.
Religious education teachers and volunteers are always needed. Contact Margaretta Bruegger to find out how you can help.
