Covid-19 Update – December 1

Hey St. Dominic’s family,

In an abundance of caution, the friars will have to go into quarantine once again, as we have possibly been exposed. None of us in the priory have symptoms, but, you know how it goes. This week, all the friars will be tested. In the meantime, DAILY MASS IS CANCELLED for the rest of the week.Please pass the word to those who might not get this.Also, check back regularly, especially toward the end of the week, for more information regarding Sunday Masses.

COVID-19 1 diciembre

Hola, familia de St. Dominic,

Con mucha precaución, los frailes tendrán que entrar en cuarentena una vez más, ya que posiblemente hemos sido expuestos. Ninguno de nosotros en el convento tiene síntomas, pero, ya saben cómo va. Esta semana, todos los frailes tomarán una prueba. Mientras tanto, la Misa Diaria está cancelada por el resto de la semana.Por favor, pasen la voz a aquellos que no la tengan.También, revisen regularmente, especialmente hacia el final de la semana, para más información sobre las misas de los domingos.

Statement on New COVID Restrictions
(effective Nov. 20)

Greetings St. Dominic Family!
We hope this finds you well, safe, and healthy.

This past week has been harrowing as we have seen the number of COVID infections continue to rise at alarming rates. We continue to receive calls and messages asking for prayers for those who have been infected with COVID or whose loved ones or friends have. We will continue to hold all these intentions in our minds, hearts, and prayers. Do not hesitate to reach out if you need anything.

As all are aware, the Governor yesterday (Nov. 17) released new guidelines and upgraded the alert status across the state, especially in Denver County. These will go into effect on Friday. Here is a link that explains the changes well:

What does this mean for the parish? 

1. Masses = NO CHANGE. Masses will continue as we currently practice: no more than 50 people in the sanctuary, with overflow of 25 people in the basement.
2. Religious Education = CANCELLED until further notice
3. Office = NO CHANGE. The office will remain open as it has been.
4. Caution and Vigilance! We encourage you all to continue to be cautious and vigilant, as you have been. We trust you to use your best judgement, ask you to be proactive in protecting your own safety and the safety of others, and if there is any doubt or if you are displaying ANY symptoms, please stay home.

Remember, the live-stream of the 9:30am (English) and 11:45am (Spanish) will be available during and after those Masses.

Revised:  Denver Increases COVID Restrictions for Churches

Due to the new restrictions in the City of Denver, we are now limited to 50 persons (adults and children) per worship space. Mass signup is no longer required.

The following processes apply for the all Masses

• Only the NORTH doors will be open for entering the church.
•  As soon as the limit of 50 persons is reached, the doors to the church level will be closed, and persons will be directed to the church basement, using the elevator or stairs.
• In the church basement, a live-streamed Mass will be projected, and communion distributed. Only 25 persons will be allowed in the basement to provide for sufficient ventilation and social-distancing.
• After Mass, please respect social distancing when leaving the building.
• Ushers will sanitize both spaces (upstairs and downstairs).

Seguimos recibiendo llamadas y mensajes pidiendo oraciones para aquellos que han sido infectados con COVID o cuyos seres queridos o amigos tienen. Continuaremos manteniendo todas estas intenciones en nuestra mente, corazón y oraciones. No dude en comunicarse si necesita algo.

Como todos saben, el Gobernador ayer (17 de noviembre) lanzó nuevas directrices y actualizó el estado de alerta en todo el estado, especialmente en el condado de Denver. Estos entrarán en vigor el viernes. Aquí hay un enlace que explica bien los cambios:

¿Qué significa esto para la parroquia? 

1. Misas – NO CAMBIA. Las misas continuarán mientras practicamos actualmente: no más de 50 personas en el santuario, con desbordamiento de 25 personas en el sótano.
2. Clases de Catecismo  – CANCELADA hasta nuevo aviso
3. Oficina – NO CAMBIO. La oficina permanecerá abierta como ha sido.
4. ¡Precaución y Vigilancia! Los animamos a todos a seguir siendo cautelosos y vigilantes, como lo han sido. Confiamos en que utilice su mejor criterio, le pedimos que sea proactivo en la protección de su propia seguridad y la de los demás, y si hay alguna duda o si está mostrando CUALQUIER síntoma, por favor quédese en casa.

Recuerde, las misas en vivo (live-stream) de las 9:30am (inglés) y 11:45am (español) estará disponible durante y después de esas misas.

Revisadas: Nuevas Restricciones De Iglesias Pore La Ciudad De Denver

• Solo las puertas del lado NORTE de la iglesia estarán usados para ingresar a la iglesia.
• Cuando llegamos al cupo de 50 personas, las puertas del nivel del templo estarán cerrados y otras personas estarán dirigidas al sótano, usando solo el ascensor/elevador o escaleras.
• En el sótano, vamos a proveer la misa por live-stream (en vivo por proyector) y la Santa Comunión será distribuida. Solo 25 personas estarán permitidas en el sótano para asegurar suficiente ventilación y la distancia social.
• Después de la misa, respecta la distancia social en salir.
